Simplifying Employer Deductions: using data and research to speed up child maintenance payments

The story of how the Simplifying Employer Deductions team began its transformation of the 'Deductions from Earnings Orders' process - where child maintenance owed is taken straight from a parent's income by their employer to be sent to the parent with the care of the child. Through looking at the end-to-end process, collaborating with colleagues across the department and researching with employers, the team have enabled data-driven decisions and reduced failure demand. We end our story by showing how this learning will be incorporated into developing an efficient lightweight management system.
