Marianne started her career in Industrial Design, where she quickly discovered her love for working directly with users. She decided to focus on user research after conducting an ethnography project for an NGO in rural Africa, and spent a few years working for Philips Electronics in Hong Kong where she was responsible for ensuring the needs of customers were carried throughout the design process.
On return to London in 2013, Marianne moved into UX Design and Service Design working for projects in education, finance, telecoms, gaming and construction. She joined dxw in January 2019 and has been involved in a number of projects including Ofsted, the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Ministry of Justice. Her most recent work has involved system mapping for UK planning reforms. She’s currently working on a project with the Health Research Authority.
