About this speaker

James McKee has worked in the public sector for over 20 years working in various roles including Community Involvement, events, strategy and policy development, digital transformation and transformational change.

He currently leads on the Digital Communities Theme of East Ayrshire Council’s Digital Strategy and his portfolio spans Digital Inclusion, Digital Ambassadors and cross sector collaboration.

James established the award winning East Ayrshire Digital Access Network (EA DAN) in 2018, when recruited to be part of a specialised and dedicated Transformation Team. 

The EA DAN brings together over 50 cross-sector local and national organisations representing the Public Sector, Third, Community and Voluntary Sector, Private / Business Sector, Social Housing Sector and Academia. Network members all share a common goal of closing the digital and data divide in East Ayrshire. To date, this has been achieved through a collective effort and collaborative approach.

James is passionate about working alongside people and communities, reducing inequalities, servant and collaborative leadership, coaching and mentoring approaches, community and workforce empowerment and helping to make a positive and lasting difference to people lives.
